Serving Berks County, Lancaster County, Lebanon County, Lehigh County, Pottstown, Reading PA, and surrounding communities
Cremation has gradually gained in popularity, and about half our families now choose this alternative to a traditional service. This option forgoes the casket for burial while still providing the options of a private family-only viewing, memorial service, or religious service. You can choose to make your arrangements with the assistance of our staff or the funeral director, which is the traditional way most people plan, or you can complete all the necessary paperwork yourself online.
Simple Direct Cremation Package
Our Millennial Cremation Package is our most affordable direct cremation service because you complete and pay for your service without meeting with the funeral director or meeting at the funeral home.
This Cremation package is completed online with no meeting with funeral director or use of funeral home required. Price includes pick up of body from the place of death, transportation of body to the funeral home, holding of body in refrigeration up to 3 days while permits and certificates are completed, data entry of all biographical information, completion of the death certificate, submission of notice to social security, completion and submission of Veteran notice of death to Berks Veteran Association (if applicable), arrangement of Military honors (if applicable), submission of request for Coroner’s cremation permit, delivery of documents to crematory, transportation of body to the crematory, transportation for retrieval of cremains from the crematory to the funeral home. Cremains are returned in a cardboard box. Price does not include cemetery, coroner's permit ($50), crematory fee ($375), website obituary ($100), newspaper obituary (varies), death certificates ($20 each), cash advances or other non-essentials.
Additional charges apply for deaths occurring greater than 10 miles from the funeral home or outside of Berks County. For Lancaster, Schuylkill, Lebanon, and Lehigh Counties.
All documentation is completed and signed online. After you complete your documents, you can pay online or mail in a check. Your arrangements are not finalized until payment has been received.
When the death occurs, you simply call the funeral home and the deceased is removed from the place of death to our funeral home, where it is stored with refrigeration for up to 3 days. When all necessary state certificates and permits are completed and the coroner’s cremation authorization is issued, the deceased is then cremated and the family notified when to pick up the ashes. Cremains are returned in a cardboard box.
